BENEFITS
- Miss Ohio USA/Miss Ohio Teen USA has a combined total of $885.00 in entry and registration fees in order to participate. If you compete in this preliminary (for just $90.00) and win your division, you would win a minimum of $400.00 toward your entry fees for the state pageant (dependent on the number of contestants).
- If you are chosen as a titleholder for this preliminary, you will have directors preparing you every step of the way for Miss Ohio USA/Miss Ohio Teen USA. You will be given:
- Hair, makeup and wardrobe assistance
- Stage preparation
- Interview preparation
- Assistance in creating your Bio Form
- Every choice for the state pageant (regarding wardrobe, on-stage preparation, interview preparation, etc.) will be made with the support of the directors.
- If you are chosen as as a titleholder for this preliminary, you will receive paid coaching sessions with Shannon Grace Sokol, coach of Miss Michigan USA 2014 Elizabeth Ivezaj, Miss Michigan (MAO) 2014 KT Maviglia, and Miss West Virginia USA 2014 Charisse Haislop.
- ALL contestants of the preliminary receive judges scores and comments after the pageant has concluded. This allows you to grow from your experience with constructive criticism in which to take with you to your next pageant experience.
- This pageant has ALL of the elements of the state pageant (Interview, Evening Gown, Swimsuit, and Top 5 Question). It prepares you for what you will face at the state pageant and will be another experience to take with you in preparation for the state level.
- This pageant allows you to meet amazing young women who are driven to make a difference in their communities. Life-long friendships are made that will enrich your life.
PRIZES
The winners of this preliminary receive:
- Official Miss South Central Ohio title, sash, crown, and flowers
- Minimum of $400.00 in registration and entry fees to Miss Ohio USA and Miss Ohio Teen USA sponsorship (depending on the number of contestants)
- Paid coaching sessions with Shannon Grace Sokol, (Miss Michigan USA 1999; Top Ten Miss USA 1999) a nationally-recognized pageant consultant
- Sponsored photo shoot and complimentary head shot for Miss Ohio USA and Miss Ohio Teen USA by John Flynn of Cloverstorm Photography
- One (1) free makeup application and one (1) free blowout with The Blowdry Cafe
- Two (2) free spray tan applications by Meghan with Blurred Lines Tanning
Miss North Central and Capital City titleholders receive:
- Official Miss North Central Ohio and Miss Capital City title, sash, and crown (sash and crown will be given after the pageant; only Miss SCO is crowned during the show)
- Partial sponsorship to Miss Ohio USA and Miss Ohio Teen USA as well as support from the directors in preparation for the state pageant (dependent on the number of contestants)
- Paid coaching session with Shannon Grace Sokol, (Miss Michigan USA 1999; Top Teen Miss USA 1999) a nationally-recognized pageant consultant
- Sponsored photo shoot and complimentary head shot for Miss Ohio USA and Miss Ohio Teen USA by John Flynn of Cloverstorm Photography
The rest of the runner-ups receive:
- Paid coaching session with Shannon Grace Sokol, (Miss Michigan USA 1999; Top Teen Miss USA 1999) a nationally-recognized pageant consultant
ALL contestants receive:
- Downloadable access to ALL pageant day photos, taken by John Flynn of Cloverstorm Photography, for FREE

- Judges scores and comments after the conclusion of the pageant
